MAFA Artist Displays in MONROVIA

Our Display Program transforms everyday locations into rotating displays. By placing original artwork in local businesses and public venues, MAFA creates accessible art experiences for residents and visitors while giving artists meaningful opportunities to exhibit their work. These displays strengthen connections between artists, businesses, and the broader community.

Each location features changing exhibits by MAFA artists, allowing the community to experience art as part of everyday life.

Artist Alley at the Monrovia Community Center

119 W. Palm Ave

This permanent display represents an innovative partnership between MAFA and the City of Monrovia. MAFA artists install their work in the main hallway and lobby of the Center and it remains on display for three months during the Center’s opening hours of 8 am to 9 pm daily, closed Saturday and Sunday. MAFA receives a 20% donation from each sale that helps support our student art education programs.

We celebrate the start of each 3-month installations with a well-advertised Sunday afternoon artist reception open and free to the public. These festive gatherings feature refreshments, live music, and student art competitions with entries from Monrovia’s two middle schools.
